Fieldfare

Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris) sat with a group of other birds on my oak. These very sociable birds move in large groups, make lovely sounds – hence their name „Kwiczoł” and in winter they love to eat frozen apples.

Rook

Rook on oak. It’s not easy to take a picture of a rook. Usually once the camera is pointed out, it is gone…

Couple of collared doves (Streptopelia decaocto).
An interesting fact about these birds is that hey stay togethe for whole life. If the female does not find the male, she joins the couple with the other female. Couple days ago. View from my studio window, Krakow, Poland.

Kilka dni temu, widok z okna mojej pracowni. Kraków.

Since a few days there is a lot of traffic outside my window. The collar doves have returned. They sit together or land on the windowsill and of course I know what their purpose of visit is. But no way…, feeding will not start before the first frost.

Titmouse in our house :)

Today I had to rescue a small tit mouse which flew over the balcony to our house searching for food and stuck on the window sill between cooking books.

Dzisiaj musiałam ratować małą sikorkę która w poszukiwaniu jedzenia wleciała balkonem do naszego domu i utknęła na parapecie pomiędzy książkami kucharskimi.
