Wawel tapestries

Wildlife inspired fantastic tapestries. It is must see on current exhibition at Wawel Castle in Krakow. This is the only show of the entire preserved collection in the history of the Jagiellonian residence in the interiors for which tapestries were created. Ordered by Zygmund II August in Brussels and made by the best Dutch artists and crafters. Originally 170, 138 have survived. Represent the highest artistic level / Woven with wool, silk, and silver thread.
