Gucio is back!
He had been gone for so long… I was almost sure that he had fallen prey to some predator, bad man, that something had happened to him. During this time, the full bowl of food was mainly emptied by jays and tit-mouses. Niusia was very rarely here and very distrustful, she only used the old bird feeder.
And then suddenly I look – there is! Gucio is back! For now, he sat on the railing only for a moment. But already glancing towards the sunflower bowl. How do I know Gucio? Niusia is missing the middle half and Gucio is missing 3 fingers in total.
That’s how I distinguish them. Because an incomplete leg and a difficult grip I was worried about him. Today he was just sitting, but the most important thing is that he is safe and healthy, not counting the fingers that have been missing for a long time ? …

Nie było go tak długo… Byłam już prawie pewna że padł łupem jakiegoś drapieżnika, złego człowieka, że coś mu się przytrafiło.
W tym czasie pełną miskę opróżniały głównie sójki i sikorki. Niusia pojawiała się od czasu do czasu sama ale bardzo nieufna,
korzystała tylko ze starego karmnika.
Aż tu nagle patrzę – jest! Gucio wrócił! Na razie tylko na chwilę przysiadł na poręczy. Ale już zerkając w stronę miski ze słonecznikiem.
Skąd wiem że Gucio? Niusi brakuje pół środkowego a Guciowi w sumie 3 palców. Tak ich rozróżniam. Właśnie dlatego że ma utrudniony chwyt, martwiłam się o niego. Nie odważył się dziś na więcej ale najważniejsze że jest cały i zdrowy, nie licząc brakujących od zawsze paluszków 🙂 …

Łódź – time vehicle
Łódź – a time vahicle.
On our way to the concert of Marc Almond and Midge Ure in Łódź, I fell into a time vehicle, not only because of the two artists I started listening to in elementary and high school, but because of the city itself. It is a few minutes from Piotrkowska, the most representative street in the city, to Legionów Street. They both depart from Plac Wolności, it’s just around the corner, and they’re a decade apart. Legionów is like Kazimierz in Kraków 30 years ago. The impression is overwhelming. We stayed in Reymont hotel whose nostalgic style I like and appreciate. But the rest? The entire neighborhood, apartment houses, street, shop`s windows that have not existed for a long time, covered with scab of peeling paint and dust, broken glass and empty windows …. Here, even the cars parked on the street are from a different fairy tale … I rub my eyes with amazement because Legionów is not the outskirts of the metropolis, but the back of the main one with the European flair of Piotrowska and the nearby revitalized Manufaktura …

Łódź – wehikuł czasu.
Z Piotrkowskiej najbardziej reprezentatywnej ulicy miasta do ulicy Legionów jest kilka minut.
Obie odchodzą od Placu Wolności, to zaledwie za rogiem a różni je dekada. Legionów to jak krakowski Kazimierz 30 lat wstecz. Wrażenie jest porażające.
Zatrzymaliśmy się w Reymoncie którego nostalgiczny styl lubię i doceniam. Ale reszta? cała okolica, kamienice, ulica, witryny sklepów od dawna nie istniejących pokrytych parchem odchodzącej farby i kurzem, wybite szyby, ziejące pustką okna….
Tu nawet parkujące przy ulicy auta są z innej bajki… Przecieram oczy ze zdumienia bo Legionów to nie obrzeża metropolii a plecy głównej z europejskim zacięciem Piotrowskiej i pobliskiej rewitalizowanej Manufaktury…

Today after heavy rain and hail in Krakow, this sweet little blue tit playing on our willow. It was amazing to watch and listen to it. Because tits make amazing sounds, and these wonderful acrobats are able to hang and balance upside down on the thinnest twigs.

Dziś po ulewnym deszczu z gradem modraszka balansowała na wiotkich gałązkach naszej wierzby. To było fantastyczne móc to obserwować i słuchać. Bo sikorki wydają niesamowite dźwięki a do tego, ci wspaniali akrobaci, są w stanie zawisnąć na najcieńszych gałązkach głową w dół.
