HUG A TREE
A few years ago, when a terrible storm hit Krakow, a lot of trees felled in Wilga River Park. I happened to be riding my bike through while cleanup work was underway. The men were cutting down windfalls and stacking the stumps. It was a bird cherry tree. This unassuming shrub, that grows to the size of a tree, has a truly captivating interior, literally and figuratively. It has weight, lightness, and austerity—everything necessary to inspire. That’s how the idea germinated.
Working title: „Hug a Tree”—who wouldn’t?
